My work reflects nature in a variety of ways. My passion for glass and the transformational quality that it possesses allows me to express beautiful moments stored within my consciousness of the Ocean waves, sea life and ocean landscapes. I have studied other forms of art but it is through glass that I find a true expression for my passion and love for the earth. When I view a seascape, shadows and light of trees against the sky, a desert sunset or wind storm, I find connection and happiness. Glass allows me to create a synthesis of my personal love of nature which is fluid enough to create a sense of movement while capturing the peacefulness and serenity that I experience while watching waves roll in rhythmically touching the sand. It is my goal to create work that captures this movement and serenity of the ebb and flow of life seen through the seasons and rhythms of the sea and land. In my quest to express my love of the ocean I use many techniques in the glass community such as glass fusing, casting, torch working, sandblasting and verre eglomise
